The Corporate Crash Out: #
I know it’s the weekend and you have so much to do.
But I need you to stop raw dogging your burn out.
Let’s have a quick group chat.
Because some of y’all are not resting on the weekends.
I’m guilty of the same thing.
We’e already white-knuckling your way through the work week
then spend Saturday zipping through laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning the house, pretending we want to be social, doing more laundry and then panicking before Monday arrives.
Your nervous system never clocked out. So no, I’m not here to tell you to stop crashing out because gestures vaguely at the world around us, that isn’t currently an option.
I’m here to tell you use your crash out to your advantage.
We are entering our strategic crash out era.

pick your lane, bestie.
Not all burnout is the same flavor, babe. Before you default to doom scrolling for six hours, ask:
what actually feels fried right now?
body tired
brain loud
emotions crunchy
or existential dread with a side of “pls don’t email me every again”
Your strategy should match the damage.
If your body is fried:
Move your body.
long walk with a podcast
stretch like someone who would like to age gracefully
rage clean one chaotic corner of your life, if it doesn’t spark joy? you know what to do.
If your emotions are loud:
journal the unhinged thoughts
voice note your group chat
therapy homework you’ve been side-eyeing
yes, even the shower cry (top tier release, sorry)
If your brain won’t shut up:
phone on DND
low-stim comfort TV, it’s law and order SVU for meeee.
solo coffee/tea/bookstore date with no notifications
touch grass (or snow). I am so serious. let the sun hit your face.
contain the chaos
An unstructured weekend will humble you every time. You do not need a color-coded life plan. You do need containers so the whole weekend doesn’t dissolve into one long avoidance spiral.
Try this simple structure:
one intentional crash window
one body movement moment
one tiny life admin task
one thing that brings you actual joy (non-negotiable)
and the rest? let it happen, let yourself be spontaneous, even if that means spontaneously binge watching the new season of Love Is Blind.
recharge + reset
Rest is not a reward for finishing your to-do list. If your body is cooked, forcing productivity on the weekend is just burnout in a cute outfit.

Instead, pick 2–4 of these and call it a win:
go outside for 27 minutes with no phone
drink water like a hydrated adult
eat an actual meal with protein (yes this matters)
take a slow everything shower, bonus points for doing it with the lights dimmed or off.
stretch your hips, back, and neck
tidy one small surface, not the whole house
sit in silence for five minutes or five hours
text someone who feels safe to your nervous system
get sunlight in your eyeballs before noon, get sunlight on your eyeballs before your eyeballs meet your phone screen
go to bed earlier than your inner chaos gremlin prefers, yes, put tiktok down.
wear something soft and comfortable on purpose
do one thing purely because you like it
Notice what is not on this list:
optimize your morning routine
overhaul your entire life
become a new human by sunday night.
stop the sunday spiral
You know exactly what I’m talking about. Late Sunday afternoon, chest tight, brain loud
and suddenly convinced your job, your life, and your entire personality are wrong.
Your job might be wrong, but you’re right where you need to be.
Before you spiral, run the quick reset:
hydrate
good food, whole foods, proteins, maybe even a little treat.
light movement
quick glance at Monday so it stops lurking in the shadows
earlier bedtime than usual
We are reducing unnecessary suffering in this house.
quick gut check
After your current weekend routine, do you usually feel:
A) restored
B) neutral
C) like you got hit by a small emotional bus
If you keep landing on C, the strategy needs adjusting. I’m here to help.
Your crash out should release pressure. Not build more of it.
